Egypt is a big travel destination for a lot of people from all over the world because it has a lot of everything. I want to go to Egypt. How can I get a visa?

• A passport must be valid for at least six months after you arrive in Egypt.
• All foreigners must get a visa before they can enter Egypt.
• What you can do to get a tourist visa is to go to an Egyptian embassy or consulate in your country.

There are a lot of different types of visas for Egypt.

In our country, there are usually three types of visas for people who want to come to the country.

• Entry visa – valid for one month, provided to any non-Egyptian citizen who enters the country without a previously acquired visa
• A transit visa is given to any non-Egyptian citizen who enters Egypt for a short period for transit purposes.
• A tourist visa is valid for up to three months and can be used for single or multiple visits. Most visitors to Egypt bought this visa from an Egyptian embassy or consulate before they arrived in the country.

Is it possible to extend the time I have to stay in the country on my tourist visa?

Tourists can extend their stay, but they must get permission from the complex building in the Tahrir Complex in Cairo or another government office in another city. During the two weeks after your visa expires, you can buy an extension without having to pay a fee.

How can I go to Egypt?

1: Arrive by air:

Egypt can be reached by land, but most people fly there. Every day, flights land at Cairo International Airport from London, New York, and many other major cities around the world. From almost anywhere in the world, it’s easy to get to Egypt by connecting to one of these hub cities.

Luxor International Airport, Sharm El Sheikh Airport, and Hurghada are also places where international flights land. All of these airports are close to beach resorts, so you can get there right from the airport. During the high season (November through March), when there are more flights, you can find cheap flights to Egypt.

Travelers from the countries below can get a one-month tourist visa at any of Egypt’s international airports.

It costs about $25 to get a visa. Before going, people from other countries must get a visa at an Egyptian Embassy or Consulate.

Which airport you land at depends on which airline you use. Most airlines from the United States and Western Europe use Terminal 3, which is also known as the New Terminal in Egypt. In the United States, the New Terminal is also called Terminal 3. They usually land in Terminal 1, but Egypt, Al Arabiya, and Eastern Airlines usually land in the first one, not the second one.

You don’t need an official passport from some countries to get a visa when you arrive in Egypt. If you live in one of these countries and want to get a visa when you get there, you need a passport from one of these countries.

2- Arrival via road:

Passengers may enter Egypt from Israel by land at the border crossing at Elyot/Taba in the Sinai Peninsula (save for Eid al-Adha or Yom Kippur) (except for Eid al-Adha or Yom Kippur). Rafah, the border crossing between Us and Gaza, has shut down for the time being.

Passengers from any country can’t get a visa for all of Egypt at the Elyot/Taba border crossing. However, if you have a passport from one of the countries above (*), you can get a Sinai-only visa that allows you to travel in the Sinai Peninsula but not cross the Suez Canal.

You must get a visa from an Egyptian Embassy or Consulate before you go to the rest of Egypt or to a country that isn’t on the list above (*). There is a consulate for Egypt in Eilat.

At the border between Eliat and Taba, there is an exit fee of $25.

And there is a $12.50 entry fee to Egypt for people who come from Israel and go to Egypt (plus the cost of the visa).

3- Arrival via sea:

Although Egypt has many ports located in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea. The number of travelers coming to Egypt by boat or ferry has decreased significantly due to cheap airline tickets and holidays using air travel.

There is one exception to this: the boat passage from Aqaba in Jordan to Nuweiba in Sinai. The boats that used to travel directly from Greece or Cyprus to the ports of Egypt on the Mediterranean no longer exist.

There are no longer ferries from Italy or Cyprus that go to Egypt by sea. There are many cruise lines in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea that stop at different ports in Egypt and Jordan.

Some nationalities (*) can purchase a full month visa for $15 upon their arrival in Nuweiba. Sinai visas are free for two weeks. Other countries must apply for a visa in advance, otherwise, the passengers will not be able to board the ship in Jordan.
