Lake Nasser is one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. It was made to look like a natural body of water. People from Egypt can come here. It was cut in half, with 83 percent going to Egypt and 16 percent to Sudan (the remaining 13 percent). Many Sudanese who had to leave their homes because of the terrible flooding on the Nile could stay safe at Lake Nubia.

History :

The Nubian people had lived along the Nile for tens of thousands of years, but they were forced to leave when dams were built, and a lake was made. Several historic sites were moved to the higher, drier ground with the help of the international community and other groups. The Mandalas have a temple in Kalabsha, but it is often forgotten. This healing temple is dedicated to the Nubian fertility god Marul.

The carvings on the walls show a mix of styles that are easy to spot (Mandulis in Greek) Most of the damage was fixed in Egypt and Rome in the past. The simple Beit al wali temple and the Ptolemaic Kertassi are right next to each other on the same road. Reliefs show that the people who built the building as a memorial to Pharaoh Ramses II fought with rebel Nubians while they did so.

This war was clearly won by the Pharaoh. Wadi al Sebua, Dakka, and Amanda are temple groups that can only be seen in faraway places. New roads will also connect the old Qasr Ibrim fort, which is on a fancy cruise ship, to the other two places.

More and more anglers are drawn to the lake’s beautiful waters, which are home to a few crocodiles, the elusive tiger fish, and the huge Nile perch, which is one of the biggest freshwater fish in the world. Fishing on Lake Nasser has quickly become one of the most popular things to do in the area. This is because the lake hosts several world-class events every year.
