Australian citizens’ requirements for passports and visas
Australians can now get an e-Visa for Egypt before they go, or they can get a visa at any international airport when they arrive in the country. Australians can do either one of these things. The Egyptian Embassy or one of the Egyptian Consulates in Australia can also handle visa applications. Here is a list of the costs for the different types of tourist visas:
Single entry e-Visa: To enter the country once and stay for up to 60 days, you’ll need to pay $25 for an e-Visa.
Multiple-entry e-Visa: You can stay in the country for up to 90 days longer if you buy a $60 multiple-entry e-Visa.
Visa on arrival for Australians: The fee for a 30-day stay is $25, with a visa purchased upon entry.
No one with an Australian passport needs a visa for 15 days to visit or stay in a Sinai resort. If you want to call one or more alternatives in Sinai, you can get a free entry permission stamp at the airports in Sharm el Sheikh, Saint Catherine, and Taba. But if you want to leave the area or stay for more than 15 days, you must get a visa at one of these airports.
